Big pickup for Zips football
Akron picked up a verbal commitment today from one of the Cincinnati area's top players.

It was a really big day for Akron as they also snagged a three-star wide receiver from Maryland.

Things are going pretty good for the Zips these days. The kids are committing earlier than ever! The rest of the MAC has got to be concerned about that!

QB from Colerain HS
How good is this kid from Colerain HS in Cincinnati? Colerain is mainly a running team. Their QB's don't do much passing. That QB they had a couple years ago when they won the state switched to WR at UC.

he will not play QB, he can play RB, WR, CB, S, return kicks and punts. there are so many places that this kid could play and make a real impact. Let's just hope he stays here.

Why would he leave? We have the best facilities in the midwest, except on gameday. ;-) But seriously, great coaches, great facilities, great opportunities. GO ZIPS!
