One of our own, "AGR at MTSU", is responsible for making that first key contact.
Here's what transpired as posted on the MT Delphi board for you fans here without a Delphi membership:
"I have shared our thoughts regarding the "Battle for the Palladium" with SGA Pres. Jon Stewart, and he is stoked. Candice Haynes, SGA VP for Public Affairs, is also on board. This is going to be a success I think. We are trying to get hold of Troy's SGA, but they were not there when we called.
Anyway, Jon would like to form a committee with no other objective than working on this game. If you are interested in serving on this committee, contact Jon at: jmstew@mtsu.edu This committee is open to all.
AGR"

Hey TroyStFan,
This Thursday, July 8th at 12:00pm I'm going to be visiting Troy's campus for a meeting.
I'll be giving a "Battle for the Palladium" and "World's Largest Toga Party" presentation to student officials at Troy University.
I contacted Troy SGA President, Ryan Spry, about a couple of weeks ago and he seemed enthused. I informed Mr. Spry that I would like to meet with him and those in charge of Greek Life at Troy in order to explain to them in person what would be needed and what needs to happen.
Those to attend the meeting other than myself and Mr. Spry will be other officers of the Troy SGA and possible the advisors and representatives for the Troy Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Council. Rivalry project liason to Troy, your very own TroyMarkus, has also committed to attending, as well as other Trojan fans.
I'm supposed to contact Mr. Spry again either tomorrow or Tuesday and see where this thing is going to be held at, but most likely it will be at the SGA office in the Trojan Center.
If you see a black Chevy S10 with Middle Tennessee decals on it this upcoming weekend, then that's probably me driving it!
Looking forward to lending a hand in bringing Troy, Middle Tennessee, and the Sun Belt together!
