Why the hell is this game on ABC? Atleast put Nevada-Fresno on it......SJSU?

I guess it's good ABC is venturing beyond the Big 10...but this is odd.

I have no clue as to why it is on ABC. That was kind of the point of the post. It really doesn't make sense. It also involved our former AD so it was of some interest to us.

Now that the MWC is no longer on ABC, they've did a trial run with a pair of WAC games on the west coast last year. They did well enough out there that ABC picked up one again.

Just to note that while it is a 7pm east coast start, it isn't part of ABC's primetime football series and will air in one of the two weeks ABC isn't airing primetime football because of the World Series. ABC chose WSU-UCLA for 10/28 at 7pm and really only had one week to air a WAC game and they had the following choices:

Boise State at Idaho
Utah State at Louisiana Tech
San Jose State at Nevada
Hawai'i at New Mexico State

Boise at Idaho doesn't do anyone any good, you might as well just air the game in Idaho only. At least by picking SJSU and Nevada you can get Reno and the San Francisco & San Jose areas to tune in. Fresno St. is playing at LSU that week and that game can't be chosen by ABC.
