MAC Championship this weekend
This has got to hurt.

Quote:INDIAN SPRINGS, Ohio ? Kent State is in a familiar spot following day one of the 2006 Mid-American Conference Women?s Golf Championships: the lead. The Golden Flashes posted an 8-over team total after 36 holes on the first day of the MAC Championship to build a 30-shot lead, and sophomore Tara Delaney jumped out to a four-stroke lead after posting 2-under 142.

This is the first year the MAC Women?s Golf Championship is a 72-hole event, with the third round scheduled for tomorrow and the final 18 holes set for Sunday.

Kent State went out this morning and built a 7-stroke lead after shooting a 7-over 295 in the round. But it was second 18 in the afternoon where the Golden Flashes grabbed a commanding lead. KSU posted a 1-over 289 in the second round, while the best the rest of the field could muster was 307 pushing the Flashes to a 30-shot edge over Toledo. Kent State?s second-round performance ties for second-lowest all-time at the MAC Championship, matching a similar score KSU posted in the same round in 2002.
