LAFAYETTE -- Progress on an athletic facilities upgrade had University of Louisiana at Lafayette football coach Rickey Bustle optimistically discussing recruiting Tuesday.
Bustle told the Lafayette Kiwanis Club he is proud of a recently completed training room four times the size of the one formerly used.

I don't think a date has been set. I believe (and could be wrong) that August was/is the target date to get started.

From what I have heard, construction is set to begin at the near the beginning of August. But I'm not real sure. Seems to close and a lot of work needs to be completed before building.

Well, maybe they'll have it done for next season. Where are they supposed to put that thing? I think it's supposed to be built across from Bourgeois Hall in the old intamural field.

It will be where the current practice field is.

I read somwhere that construction will begin on the new indoor practice arena around the 1'st of September.
