Oh my God, how tragic and shocking. My sympathies and thoughts are with the entire WMU family, especially the Bartula family.

A tragic and sad day for MAC football fans. Its hard when you see a kid pass away with his whole life in front of him. Losing a player like its tough. A starter on a winning MAC team.

Chris was from Carol Stream and attended the HS just south of my district. This is terribly sad, NIU fans can sympathize as we lost Shea Fitzgerald 4 years ago in an accident the summer prior to what would have been his first season starting at OT. My prayers for Chris's family
