MAC "Hosed" Again!! (Well, actually the CCHA)
Now let's use the term, "hosers" to describe the Hockey NCAA selection committee.
Granted, Miami lost their chance for a #1 seed by dropping the league championship game against Michigan State.
But what do the #2-seeded Redhawks get for their regular season CCHA championship? A date against lower-ranked Boston College, to be played in MASSACHUSETTS!!! Yeah, that's fair.
Why didn't they either send Miami to Green Bay or ship BC somewhere else?
If a MAC team ever gets a break, someone please post it and let's put "up top" on the web page. Because it will be truly historic news.

How could the lower seeded team get a home game?
:sorry: If I had the money, I would make the trip to cheer Miami on. Problem is I am short right now.

While I'm certainly not a college hockey expert I am a fan. To those used to the bias built into the NCAA basketball selections and the BCS cartel in football, Hockey is one of the few sports that has a rather transparent process for selection, known as the PairWiseRanking (or PWR).
At first glance it may appear that they got shafted, but not really. PWR is not in any way connected to subjective, emotion driven Polls, where Miami has gotten some love.
For a good explanation of the NCAA seeding and brackets go here:

Go Miami. Get four wins and a national title for the CCHA and a MAC school. I'll be pulling for them.

I don't think they were complaining about the seeding, but the fact that they were put into a bracket where the game is not really close to them and very close to the lower seeded team they are playing.

I realize that, but either BC or BU (not sure which) is the host team and by the rules has to play in its' region. Actually, the prevailing opinion is that Worchester is a better place for them to be, as far as a chance to win the region and advance to the frozen four.
Would maybe have been easier for MU fans to go to Green Bay, but the PWR and host teams seeding rules dictate who goes where.

Well then, if we didn't have bad luck, we wouldn't have any at all.
