Andy Kennedy Goes Off In Radio Show Last Night
=>Anybody catch his radio show last night. Apparently Andy Kennedy in his radio show last night has bought into the conspiracy theory.

http://www.ncaabbs.com/forums/bigeast/ph...hp?t=13999

Couple quotes from those who heard the show...

Quote:Andy said he was told to accept the bid to the NIT. Andy thought it was the right thing to do too.

Quote:He was very pis$ed when he first came on the show. He also metioned a "conspiracy" then he said, "but you didn't hear that from me". He sounds like a man who knows he's not getting the job so now he is going to loosen the collar a little bit.

Quote:But someone asked the question about the AD not defending the team. I think Andy responded with a (I'm paraphrasing here): "I have so much venom and stuff in me right now. If you think that's a live mic up there, you'd love to hear some stories that I have. We're lucky there's only 20 more minutes for me to hold back my words."

Quote:Someone who called in asked where the ad was today and why he was missing in action. AK responded by saying he is trying to stay in line and that he has blood in his mouth from biting his tongue so hard. Also mentioned they should have an open mic and he could really tell some stories

Quote:He also said he's here because of Huggs the players are here because of Huggs and he is who he is and he will never shy away from Huggs!

Quote:AK already knows he's gone. That is very clear from his stance tonight. I'm sure he has known all along. It seems like I post this same line everyday but here goes; What a joke this whole thing has become.

Quote:He also stated "while I'm a coach in the BE for another week"

Quote:Earlier in the show he was talking about how much the players are hurt, how much he is hurt. Talking about the #'s and how they did everything the NCAA tells teams to do as far as scheduling.

Quote:He said he was watching the selection show with the players and that after the show Joe Lunardi talked to him and said in all his years of doing Bracketology he never had a team that he had as a #9 seed totally miss the tourney. Lunardi said the #'s don't mathup. Andy then said "This whole thing speaks of a conspiracy but you didn't hear it hear".

Quote:Recap - clean version

AK: conspiracy to keep UC out

Question about Mike Thomas missing in action...

AK: biting my tongue, blood boiling

Those were the high/low lights

Quote:Everything I said really came out of Andy's mouth!

Conspiracy, never not be loyal to Huggs, biting his tongue on the administration because he could tell alot of stories.

I heard the same thing, except instead of stories it was "tales I have to tell." It seemed clear to me he has no expectation that he will be at UC next year. He made a comment about continuing to carry on Huggins legacy until his time at UC was done.

Quote:His tone was very clearly "I'm done here now, and they can't stop me from talking

Also, on the Two Angry Guys this morning I heard that AK said that as of yesterday (when he said it) he is having a hard time finding 5 players who want to suit up and play in the NIT.

Moll, those guys on our parallel board at UC have lost it. We had a great AD at Akron and they got him - along with our external guy, and boy are they blasting their new AD.

I feel for Thomas - he walked into a hornet's nest and has apparently become the shi**ing grounds for the fans still mad about Huggins being fired. Guilt by association I guess. Seriously, some of those folks have lost all reason. If some of those folks truly have degrees from UC it sure doesn't speak well of the education afforded them. What a bunch of tools.
