I would be proud if i was a UB fan. Reggie has taken this program to a very competitive top of line MAC program. When he took over the program was so bad it couldn't beat some MAC schools intermural champ (and that is not a stretch).
It is extremely hard to build and maintain a quality program in the MAC and with Reggie in charge the future will be bright.

I love how people are giving all UB fans bad raps based on stupid people they encountered. Making that assumption based on that pretty much means your not that much more intelligent than the hooligan that was heckling you.
After we lost last nite, me and my friends went to the harry buffalo to drink some beers, ended up hanging out and having some good convos with KSU and Akron fans. Then as soon the OU game ended here comes their fans running their mouth say UB sucks and F@$# UB, but yet I talked to some other OU fans at the bar and *surprise* they were civil and we talked and shared some rounds too.
So all you people who think all UB fans are ******** based on 1 or 2 encounters you've had, try using your brain and actually talking to other fans. Lets not pretend you OU fans are little angels, everyones got the good and the bad
P.S. On behalf of most UB fans, I apoligize that this thread was ever started

That's your first mistake, asking Toledo and Ohio fans to use their brains.

Fark you, falcaholic. I can't start a thread about UB because a bunch of other teams' fans have their panties in a twist?
I asked a valid question: How am I supposed to feel about this season? Thank you to those who did answer that question.

dude then go to the ubfan board and start this thread. These other teams fans really could care less about our 8th place team and I really dont blame them at all. If a fan from another school started the same thread about their team after they lost in the quarterfinals, I wouldnt feel the need to add anything constructive

I think you mis-understood my post. I didnt say all UB Fans were like that. I was saying pretty much what you did, that the majority of fans are fine, but its the a-holes that get all the attention. I love the enthusiasm the UB students bring to the tourny. Trust me I know my fellow OU fans can be obnoxious, but I dont think we're any worse (or any better) than anyone else.

Well, now you can feel even crappier because fellow SUNY school Albany is going to the dance for the first time. It was supposed to be UB...as the Flagship... to bring athletic prestige to the SUNY system but instead Albany just leapfrogged us. I know America East top to bottom is not as good as the MAC (and the #1 seed gets to play the title game at home) but hey, no one asks how you got there.

I don't know how to about to feel about this.
They weren't supposed to be good this year, but they went 10-1 OOC. Then they went 8-10 in conference including a double-digit loss at home to CMU.
And considering the team won only 31 games in the four years I was there, I should be happy with 19 wins this season, right? But I'm not. Somebody tell me how to feel, because I'm confused.

I do feel crappy about that. They haven't suffered nearly enough to have earned a tournament berth.
And as I said before...if UB had just been a little more patient, the AEC would have called...and they'd probably be dancing this year.

whoa man, sorry to upset you so much. I didnt realize this message board was so close and dear to your idiotic heart.
Its people like you that give UB fans bad raps. Why dont you write a letter to Warde Manuel saying how you think UB should drop down to the ~29th rated BBall conference and I-AA football, since he might be the only to listen to your rants, and then promptly throw it in the trash

Sorry to upset you so much, Mr. Board Nazi. I'm sorry to hear your life is so pathetic that you feel you need to compensate by trying to control other people.

As long as you're in a one-bid conference, what difference does it make which one you're in? I think even the densest, most myopic person such as yourself has to have figured out by now that bottom of I-A football is a fallacy. And if UB were in the AEC, they absolutely would have been one of the favorites to win it.
