The posts on here about the close calls with ASU have got me excited about NIU baseball. Hopefully today they can pull this one out:

Just the gametracker

After today, the schedule doesn't have them playing again until Feb 24 in the Evansville Tournament. There, they'll play Eastern Illinois, Evansville and Wisconsin-Milwaukee. A little less overwhelming than Arizona State.

How many games will the southern state schools have in by then? Heck, ASU had already played a few games before went down there.

A few more scheduling notes:
-NIU has a 4 game set against Nevada-Reno in late March.
-May 3rd is the game against Northwestern at Kane County.
-We play against Valpo in Gary at the US Steel Yard (independant league park)

Southern schools, especially those in SoCal regularly play 70+ game seasons while we "cold" climate teams play only 50-60 per season. Obviously, they get their extra games in February.
