There is nothing wrong with having TWO teams. Mine just happen to be Illinois and NIU. I was an Illini fan LOOOOOONG before I even knew there was a Northern Illinois University.

Here's a little bit of information for the kids:

Dekalb metropolitan: 40,000
Toledo metropolitan: 620,000

Dekalb's competition = UI
Toledo's competition = OSU/UM (UM is a 45 minute drive)

No comparison. When you boys grow up and experience the world, maybe you'll understand how things work. And UI will never be OSU or UM, even though I'm not a fan of either...just speaking in terms of reality.

You boys should try to benchmark yourselves against BG and Ohio U if you want to worry about who's residents do what.

When we see U of I fans crying and acting jealous on their board, we post the thread and laugh at them for being pathetic. It works both ways...


Weber is a great coach. U of I has worked hard and accomplished a lot. I don't like their arrogance, but that comes with being a premier program in the country. If NIU finished #2 in the country last year, there might be a few arrogant Huskie fans popping off. Give U of I credit where credit is due. Don't act like babies and give them amunition to reinforce their basketball superiority.
