If this were the Old West....
the instructions would be lock up the women and children, bring the whiskey and bullets, and meet at high noon.

Well, women and children are welcome if they can get a seat, there will be unauthorized whiskey, hopefully no bullets other than Jay Youngblood's shots and Dre Haynes' passes, and all the Flashes fans in their new shirts.

Its the Flashes and the Zips for first place in the MAC. Saturday at 2:00 PM at the M.A.C.C. Hold on to your hat.

With this being a big game and drawing lots of local interest, maybe someone should let the Beacon Journal know about it. The success of both teams should cause the local media to have articles leading up to the game everyday.

I've posted on Hawktalk that us Redhawk fans who want to make a run at the very desirable 3 seed will be rooting for the Zips:

After finally seeing both teams, from the point of view of an OU fan Kent State is a more complete team. Akron is the more explosive team.

Both are very, very solid ballclubs.

I think Kent State will win, though. They are very solid on the boards and can pack the middle and stop a big man (like Leon Williams tonight.)

It will come down to Dials and Joyce being able to knock down the three. If they do it enough Akron will win.

I think KSU is the better complete team, though.

Kent and Akron are gonna be the #1 and #3 seeds in the MAC. They will meet in the final. UB and Ohio both flopped bigtime once the real games started. So much for who had the softer schedule OOC, it looks like both are gonna be playing in the first round.

You'd think so. Maybe if we're lucky there will be a paragraph or two. Oh wait, there will probably just be more articles on the superbowl and OSU's recruiting..

Akron is the better team IMO. Tonight Ub shot over 50% form the floor and still lost by double digits. Akron will win by a small margin I think.

Already happened
I thought we just had this:

BG just handed EMU their only conference loss in W Bball.

BG is dominating.
