That was last years initial rankings. Talk about improvement not even listed 1 time this year.

Something to see Western ranked prior to last year and the year they had. Hopefully continues on.

Not that I want them to be THAT good but I believe that Ball State should be better than the bottom feeder predicted here. That squad had some heart and that can go a long way in turning a mediocre at best squad into a winner. I'll be rooting for Ball State except when they play NIU!

Woohooo ... we're not last (UB that is). Thank you Temple and FAU!

I hope Gill can turn around this awful football program.

Is it possible the author could have done just a little homework?

Ball State does not play WVU next year. We open at home on a Thursday agin' a MAC team followed by the visiting Hoosiers next week.

Not that that changes the ranking but don't make mention of a team that is not even on their schedule.

it's only a ranking of where a team looks. doesn't really stand for much. lol but only 4 MAC teams in bottom 19. Better than last year's 6. But we likely won't have any in the probable top 25 category I dont expect.

you think temple is so close that one recruiting class will help them win?

...not one recruiting class but rather, one head coach.

Is that all it takes? Well there you have it: Temple fans are predicting UB will win the MAC next season.

I could care less what columnists write. I've been reading their nonsense for years, laughing, chuckling and dry-heaving over their remarks about Temple's improvement, leadership, circumstance and organization. As far as I'm concerned, I'm an expert on Temple FB matched against their recliner wisdom, boxscore review and ticker tracking and I can promise the conference, Temple will be GREATLY improved. Tremedously improved.

Have you heard Al Golden's challenge to his players?

But he's also a realist.

Golden:

"There is a misconception out there. People think that because we're going to the MAC, we're going to win. But two of this team's worst losses last season were to MAC teams," Golden said, speaking of a 42-17 loss to Toledo on Sept. 17 and a 70-7 setback to Bowling Green on Oct. 1. "There's nothing promised in that conference at all."

GO OWLS!

New club announced for 500 a year you get back stage access to al golden and his coaching staff. Did not write down the name of the club but it was stated they would like to have 1000 donnors by the spring game.

VE - it's the Extra Point Club. It's $500, but I believe there is a strange caveat: "$500 above what you gave last year."

I think so too. Do they still have QB Joey Lynch, or was he a senior?
