EA Sports NCAA Baseball 06
Here's a game that I'm kinda interested in, would definitely buy if NIU was in....and yet we are not one of the conferences included. The game has 128 teams, and no MAC!!! How come we're not in?!?

Anyone else interested in this game?

List of teams:

ACC: Boston College, Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Miami (FL), North Carolina, NC State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest

Big 12: Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech

Big East: Cincinnati, Connecticut, Georgetown, Louisville, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Seton Hall, South Florida, St. John

I would consider it if they had the whole MAC in it, but without it I won't even consider buying the game.

I'm by no means a college basebell expert, but I think the Sunbelt and Missouri Valley are considered power conferences in baseball. Northern conferences including the Big 10 are considered mid majors and usually only get 1 bid in the college world series. This is mostly because Northern teams usually spend their first 2 months of the season on the road and don't get to practice outside before their first game.

just a guess, but they probably didn't have all the players scouted from the other conferences. They did state though that all Division I teams will be in the game next year.

I see what you mean...but take NCAA College Football...I highly doubt they spent much time creating the DI-AA schools.

They did this for years with the hoops game as well. I think it's just been the last two or so years that the MAC has been included. You used to get to play a 14th seed named "MAC Champion" in the NCAA tournament, if I remember correctly...

here is why you guys arent in it and "smaller" conferences are. first, they couldnt put all the teams in this year due to the time it takes to scout the teams and design the ballparks. secondly, those smaller conferences have traditionally stronger prgrams than the mac. west coast has pepperdine, the missouri valley has wichita state and creighton, big west has fullerton, cusa has rice tulane ecu so miss and houston, the mountain west has tcu, the sunbelt has ull and south alabama. no team in the mac has the history or current program that those schools have in baseball. next year, they will have all d1 teams. for right now, give you 50 bucks that you would spend on the game to your university's baseball program.
