Will an undefeated fall before EAST play begins?
Looking at this week I see only 2 potential games and both involve Northern Illinois.

Tuesday- Ohio @ Northern

Saturday- Kent @ Northern

Miami and Akron should have no problems, but can Ohio and Kent join them as east leaders heading into divisional play?

Ohio is completely capable of losing at either NIU and/or Toledo this week.

absolutely we could lose both games this week. i certainly hope it doesn't happen and i can see that it wouldn't happen if we play to our potential both games...not easy to do on the road at two tough arenas against two tough teams.

i know our unbeaten conference season has to end sometime, but hopefully we can make it last through this week at least and get home to face Akron next Tuesday. Most certainly, UA will be undefeated going into that game; there is little doubt about that.

The Flashes have had the propensity to play to the level of their competition at times. That can be good and bad depending on the team they are playing. NIU is solid so the Flashes will show up ready. Either way the NIU game will be a test that I think the OOC schedule has prepared the Flashes for. Should be fun to listen to. There will be some Flash fans from Chicagoland in attedance including FlashFan. Bring home a winner FF! 02-13-banana

Big game Tuesday Ohio at NIU. This is a different Bobcat team that NIU beat last year in Dekalb. That team was extremely young with two freshmen, and a sophmore and a juco jr in the starting five. Ohio fell down by 20 points early and came all the way back to tie in the final minute. Ohio has played in some hostile places this year. Marist was like playing in a high school gym(like BGSU) which is loud. Rhode Island was a bigger crowd (4000 plus), then at UC(10000), neutral vs UK(16000) and then @EMU. After playing in UC. Playing in tough places helps Ohio handle the road games in the MAC. Ohio jumped all over EMU early taking the empty seats right out of the game last week. No easy games as Dekalb and Toledo have been places where O'Shea hasn't done well in the past; however, this team isn't like those past Ohio teams.

You won't have to worry about a huge crowd like those tomorrow night. I would say we get like 2500 out for the game. 03-hissyfit

Our game at NIU has me nervous. It will be a good test. We don't tend to play very well on the road..

Good to know. We can definately use the 2 wins. A win over the "flagship" is a must. If for no other reason than to shut their fans up for once. ;-)
