OSU and PSU wins -- both could be in BCS games and leave the MCB without a Big Ten team.

If so, we have the contingency agreement with the Big East.

Think we were looking at Minnesota if UofM had held on vs. OSU.

I agree, Steve, although our own bowl situation (i.e. MAC teams mostly all "stumbling" toward the finish line in both divisions) is just as messy. The MCB will be pretty much screwed if OSU gets a BCS bowl slot as the BE will not have any attractive bowl candidates. (Rutgers??). Ugh.

I looked at the Big East and they most likely will qualify 4 teams for 4 bids. For a 5th bid, certain teams would have to beat WVU or L'ville. Not likely.

MCB is probably looking at an at-large team unless the Big Ten doesn't get 2 BCS bids.

Ohio State looks like a lock for a BCS game now with their win.

Mich. St just scored to make it 17-7 vs. PSU.

Man, I can't see hardly any desirable at large teams being available this year (that want to play in the MCB).....Navy will be one, but they'll get a better bowl opportunity......the ACC may have a few extra teams, maybe we'll get a team from there for the MCB.

I just thought of Navy as well.

BTW, I'm watching the MSU/PSU game. Perles and Hoffman indicated that if MSU is elig. they will be invited to MCB.

Well MSU is out. Penn State won.

One less BCS Conference school that is bowl eligible.

Oregon at 10-1, with their lone loss to USC, is a much better BCS choice than Ohio St; Va-Tech is too - let's hope the Big Ten gets only one BCS team (PSU) and sends N'western to Detroit

I hope not. If NW goes to Detroit, then NIU doesn't.

Again, it's for the FWIW category, but today's Chicago Trib also projected that Oregon would get the nod over OSU for the BCS slot, leaving Minnesota for the MAC in the MCB.

Not that it matters, but the Wash Post was predicting tOAMU v ND in the Fiesta.

All things considered, Oregon would draw just as well to such a game, and I see the Fiesta taking care of its own.
