Not playing the last two games - Hammock, Thompson, Hickenbottom (all strong 1st team all-MAC possibilities); Fleck (all-MAC possible punt returner and SR WR).
DT Falbo didn't play the second half (listed as possible 3rd team All-MAC in one publication). Turner is still trying to shake a hamstring injury (he's running fine, as evidenced by 282 yards, but his conditioning is not good because he hasn't been able to run much in practice). Our second WR, Perry, is out, which is why the true frosh Hurd caught so many balls against UW - nice surprise, but it's still a 17 year old (yes, 17) playing a lot, and now he's banged up. Our QB had a wrap on his throwing hand for the entire game Saturday. We lost a backup CB for the year, and the other backup, currently playing for Thompson, came out of Saturday's games. The one healthy all-MAC safety we do still have came off the field Saturday also.
To recap - in our games thus far we've been without the services of 4 different WRs, 5 different DBs, plus the guy on the front of our media guide. Our current RB, QB and DT are banged up. We're not just losing players, we're losing all-conference players. On Saturday, we had 2 SRs starting on O and 3 on D, so we're also very young. Ugh.
I said this on the Huskie board - everyone here pick 4 of your best players, and determine whether you'd be as good a team without them. <img border="0" alt="[crying]" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" />
