My two cents worth: I don't much care for the continual re-posting of prvious quotes, either. When I type in a response on the thread I don't take 20 minutes to proof-read or really care for the minute detail (for future debating points). I get pretty weary of someone posting one sentence from a previous post of mine so they can take me to task for something that they disagree with......and it's often something taken out of context.

Queen A...I post re this because 1) it's easy to successfully tweak many on this board...especially herdsters (always correct activity)...also, now apparent, pedants who actually take to task for lack of articles...2) also, given the current Knorr, we await confirmation that OHIO FOOTBALL won a game last week. Much scientific testing to be done re this alleged freakish event...

And, let's face it and be truthful, this thread is no worse than so many of the others on this board...this thread is certainly more important and more relevant than some of the stupidity put up here--like, for instance, almost everything put up by the extremely odd entity and anything herd.

I know. I know. Cheap, easy thrills.

Second: The other boards, (like SO), had different methods of maintaining order in posts. Often they allowed you to place your response just below the one to which you were responding. In that way, even short responses like "I disagree completely" could be understood. This board offers no such feature.

As I recall, either you or OUNIV couldn't figure "dat dare new fangled peace o' technowlogy" out either - placing responses to one person under posts from someone else (and then feeling vindicated if they didn't find the lame response and refute it). When it was pointed out that the OHIO reply posts were "randomly" placed, the OHIO poster defended this lack of ability with the same lame method you're trying to use here.....the standard Ohio mantra: "hey, if yous can't figure it out what I be saying then I musta be way smarter than yous".

Third: Ah, yes, the famous OUNIV idea that if you say you're obviously right then you automatically win the point, despite the overwhelming number of posts that disagree. Same tactic as OUNIV from the SO days - with the same effectiveness...which would be.....uh.....none. Do they teach this as a debating tactic at Ohio?

nert, this board is for entertainment not scholastic masterpieces. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="rolleyes.gif" /> I used the OUNIV handle and talked to you with it for a little while on SO and for much longer going back in time to the old MAC rivals board. The MAC rivals board closed and thats how I got involved with the SO group. The OUNIV tag was a play on OU's attempt to stand out from the large shadow casted by OSU athletics by calling themselves "OHIO", and I thought OUNIV would be a humorous alternative making OU's athletic name sound like UNLV or something.

Why did I change from OUNIV to Kit-Cat? I was in a particularly kitty cat mood at the time and it made sense to choose something more befitting.

I appoligize for some of the personal attacks I made about you under the OUNIV handle. Several years ago when I first had seen you posting your conference realignment stuff, you made a lot of errors as to which school was in what conference and details about the schools. You were probably new to the issues of the greater college football world at the point. Since that time, you've straightened it out.

And my posts have changed too. My cat ears still perk up for OU TV appearances, recruiting, ect.. I've really backed off on my conference realignment stuff though. I used to think the answer was to take the top 8 schools of the MAC and to form a stronger Mid-Major conference like the Mountain West. Now I realize that all that would do is just make it tougher to win the conference, making no difference in a MAC schools ability to build a national football program.

MWC, CUSA, MAC, WAC, what's the difference? None of the leagues are tied into the major bowl games, and none of them have any schools with top 50 recruiting classes. Yes the attendance is slightly better in CUSA, or a leaner meaner MAC, but that comes at a price of increased travel costs. If a mid-major conference like the MAC is going to expand, it needs to look at the recruiting potential of a program, and media market potential more so than the attendance. I see MTSU as the best canidate, and if one MAC school drops to 1-AA, we could add MTSU for all sports to balance out the divisions.
