Hopefully, this holds off until after the game is done. Of course, a bit of wind could alter things in our favor. If the ability to pass is hindered, our running game and the injury to BGSU's Joe Alls both become HUGE...

Good luck Chippewas! Hopefully the birds (BGSU Falcons & Ball State Cardinals) will be grounded this Saturday.

Yeah......I doubt we'll be able to run at all without Alls. He is our complete running game, and if it is very windy, our passing game will be toast too because we have never played in inclement conditions, especially any wind.
Oh well, I guess we'll just show up and see what happens!

With Alls out for a week or 2, its a good thing we have the 2nd most sought after rb in the state this year (behind Clarett) in PJ Pope! He spelled Alls last week and ran for 117 yards on 13 carries and a td. Pope is a true freshman and will be making his first career start tomorrow.

Don't forget Josh Harris is good for 75-100 yrds a game rushing also....how is CMU's run defense this yr? Wasn't that great in 2001, no?

GO BG!

CMU's run defense this year, directly from the MAC site (and our rush offense). Stats on the left are CMU's:

RUSHING YARDAGE............... 1051 / 593
Yards gained rushing........ 1134 / 750
Yards lost rushing.......... 83 / 157
Rushing Attempts............ 253 / 170
Average Per Rush............ 4.2 / 3.5
Average Per Game............ 210.2 / 118.6
TDs Rushing................. 7 / 6

Just a bit of improvement since last season, yes?

As for the weather thing, never mind. Only a 10% chance of precipitation tomorrow and wind of 10-12mph, so impact should be minimal. Good for those of us in attendance!
