We all have teams we feel we have rivalries with (CMU's is WMU), but what are the teams you really hate - not even MAC teams necessarally. And we're not talking the "competitive" hate either, but the real bile filled loathing kind of hate.

- Like, "no matter who they play, I want them to be humiliated on national TV, injured and crippled for life.

- Like, "the B!@^%$#s won't play us, so I hope the NCAA gives them the death penalty - just for illegal stapler use by a recruit".

- Like, if your nephew signs a letter of intent to play for them, you'll disown the little freak.

Mine are:
Michigan: You only have to hear a few interviews with UM'er players to be sick to death of that stupid "Michigan is Michigan" statement, that they think somehow implies that they're "special". You would think a major state school could come up with more than one catch phrase!?

BYU: As a Utah Alum, it is required that we hate the little primadonas who think they're the entire conference in FB - MWC or in the WAC days. Both Utah and CSU are their equals most years on the field, and we surpass them regualrly on the court.

Hate, Hate, Hate ---->

Miami (FL) & Tennessee--rule benders, semi-pro athletes who major in PreNFL courses like "sod & soil science" and "park & recreation" and then can't even pass in those classes. Guys who knock their live-in girlfriends half way down the stairs and still get to play--Nebraska. Guys who get arrested for fights, dope, whatever and still get to play--Penn State. And other such teams in varying degrees.

Definately has to be Kansas State and their head coach/AD. Their non conference schedule the last 6 years:
Northern Illinois
Ohio
Bowling Green
Indiana State
Northern Illinois (again)
Louisiana Monroe
Temple
UTEP
Utah State
Lousiana Tech
Ball State
North Texas
USC
New Mexico State
Louisiana Tech
And this year:
Western Kentucky
Eastern Illinois
Louisiana Monroe

Talk about pathetic. This team has never played a top 50 school over the last 6 (6!) years OOC. (Even USC finished just 6-6 the year they played KSU). The schedule maker should be beat severely. Throw in Baylor, Missouri, Kansas and Iowa State, and it's no wonder that K-State always finishes with 7+ wins.

Florida under Steve Spurier. His cocky attitude and propensity to schedule lower level teams and run up the score "because he had too" just irritates the crap out of me. I hope the NFL competition takes a piece out of his a@#$.

I'll name two schools without ranking them:

-- Ohio A&M. Ohio Stadium seats 101,500 people, very few of whom have ever made an independent decision in their lives. Yeah, "The Ohio State University." Soooo clever. This is the school for people who won't think for themselves. A dream of mine is that the Falcon Marching Band will strike up "Hang On Sloopy" after "Ay-Ziggy-Zoomba" after the Falcons spank the Buckeyes in 2003. The message would be this: You aren't Ohio's official college team, despite your pretensions and your army of drooling conformists.

-- Cincinnati. This program is a complete fraud. This team did not belong in a bowl game in 2001, not with Hawaii, Bowling Green and Mississippi sitting at home. The Bearcats have been to something like three bowls in the last four years, and the Bearcats didn't deserve any of them. They bought their way into the first bowl game, in Boise, Idaho, by offering a lucrative trip to Idaho by the Bearcats basketball program. The other two trips were made possible only because of that asinine Motor City Bowl contract.

Cincinnati is a fraud. FRAUD!

What makes me laugh is fans of a certain university north of the Maumee River think they are hot **** because their school eeked out a victory over Cincinnati in a bowl game -- as if it somehow negates the fact that this certain school north of the Maumee gave up eight touchdowns in a previous game with a certain school south of the Maumee.

While I'm always happy to see MAC schools win their bowl games, uh, fellas: You were SUPPOSED to beat Cincinnati. They SUCK. Few are arguing Miami U. deserved a bowl game last year, and they beat the Bearcats, no problem.

Cincinnati is a fraud. FRAUD!

It also makes me laugh to hear fans of a certain school south of the Ohio River fall all over themselves to join the conference that includes Cincinnati. If Cincinnati is consistently one of the best football programs in Conference USA, then Conference USA is a fraud. FRAUD! Think about it: A conference full of Cincinnatis?

Fraud. FRAUD!

And BG, BSU and LaTech all had potential to be good teams. Not a rugged schedule, I'll agree, but not as bad as you make out.

ANYWAY, BTTT. Feelings vary as teams' fortunes rise and fall. But consistently my list contains:

Washington- Even compliments about James demonstrate he was a pathetic example of a college coach. I still believe he cheated and the Pac 10 was kind to him.

Arizona- They're Arizona. "Bear Down" sounds stupid.

Mich St- Ugly colors, whiny fans. Always disliked Magic Johnson. (Yet I had no complaints about their championship a couple of years ago. I must be schizo).

Oklahoma- Switzer may have been worse than James. Pathetic fans, but their recent years of doldrums seemed to humble them. Similar to ND.

Other teams play each other so much it's hard to decide who to hate more:
Tenn- really, really ignorant fans. And I liked Johnny Majors.
Bama- ignorant fans who think they know something b/c of The Bear's success. The Bear can kiss my ass.
F$U- Starting to creep up b/c Papa Bowden's charm is wearing thin and the snake is showing through.

IU! If my kids had ever decided to go their, they would have never been invited back home - and they knew it!!! They think their sh!!! doesn't stink, in fact, they think every wishes they smelled like them (or it)! Take their attitude when the media and polls ranked BallState ahead of them in basketball this year - "who do they think they are coming to our house thinking they can beat us!"

I wish they would lose every game by 100 points. The campus would burn down and the world would forget they evry existed. You could say that I just don't like IU or anyone assoicated with the BloomingtonCampus!!!!!!

When Ball State played Kansas State on September 16, 2000 (and lost 76-0) we were coming off consecutive 1-10 and 0-11 seasons, were on a 19-game losing streak, and had lost the previous week (at home) to IAA Western Illinois. Granted, the game was scheduled after MAC football championships in 1993 and 1996. But even die-hard Cardinal fans knew the K-State game was going to be a blood bath.

BTW: I hate Indiana and Notre Dame, well because they're Indiana and Notre Dame.

Marshall - They cheat early and often, and from their coaches down to their fans, are generally a classless lot.

Michigan - They are like Colorado hockey fans. A lot of them show up, but very few know jack about the game.

BG - See Rochester Falcon's moronic comments above. Their team finally has a single winning season and they think that they are above teams that have done nothing but win for years. Despite this, maybe the Flacons don't belong on the list...I usually root for them OOC (however, I'll lmao if GP gets his revenge).

For NIU fans, it has to be the University of Illinois. They have the same attitude as the University of Michigan without as much of a winning tradition to back it up. They got way too much credit last year for winning a very weak B10. My favorite teams each week after NIU:

All MAC Teams OOC
Any team playing U of I in all sports
Any team playing the B10
Any Non BCS team playing a BCS team

Their fans were by far the worst I'd ever experienced, in person and on chat boards. Cocks to the bitter end.

Also, you can't blame KSU for playing us, since we nearly beat them in a game we physically dominated. Outgained them something ridiculous like 420-195. Returned Punt and miracle play got them a 3-point win.

No one. I just love the spirit of college football. I have my favorites, but I have no animus for any team.

However, I do have an intense dislike for sick puppies like Oddball, whose never-ending mean-spirited tirades do harm to the game. So, I will have to smack Patsy around from time to time, just to keep the pipsqueak in line.

Gosh....this is a hard one......so many teams that are worthy of my disdain! I guess the ones that seem to come to mind first are: Florida, Florida State, Miami of Coral Gables (gee, sort of a "Florida trend" going here but they all like to run "classless" programs IMHO), followed by most any SEC team (with the possible exception of Vanderbilt this league is still filled with cheaters).
