Toledo is a young team. They went into a hostile Big 10 stadium, against Big 10 players (you know, where Marshall has NEVER gotten a win?) and they played well, got jobbed on some huge calls and came away with their first loss of the season. It's not like they were overhyped, or bragging going in, or anything. They didn't get embarrassed or blown out. It's not the outcome I would have chosen, but at least they didn't get shown up as pretenders and frauds on national TV. It's not like any Rocket fans shot their mouths off about going to a BCS bowl. Hey, but let me know how those BCS bowls are, will you? Rumor has it's almost a "done deal" that the Cheatin' Hurd are a'goin' to one.

I actually have to agree with Oddball. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> Marshall did do a great amount of talking before the VPI game, and as well we should, eat crow. There are many Herd fans who tend to see things through Kelly Tinted glasses because of the pride and success we have had in the 1-aa level. I think eventually, there are a few teams in the MAC that can rise to "above MACdom" (at least as far as the BCS'ers see it), but not for the next few years. At least that's my spin.
