Congratulations to former CMU basketball standout Nate Huffman who signed a two-year contract with the Toronto Raptors Friday.
The 7-1 Huffman, 27, averaged 18.8 points and 7.5 rebounds for Israeli League champion Maccabi Elite Tel-Aviv last season.
Huffman will replace free agent Center Keon Clark who was not re-signed by the Raptors.
This is great news for CMU in the aftermath of Dan Majerle's retirement; it keeps our streak going of at least one player in the NBA since the mid-1970s.

Good for Nate! Bustin' his ass finally paid off! David Webber could learn something about humility and hard work! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="tongue.gif" />

His refusal to work harder in the weight room or play harder defense were part of the reason the team did poorly during his tenure at CMU (also blame Leonard "T" Drake and an obvious lack of team chemistry). Glad to see the big guy finally realized what it takes to win!
