Leftwich was injured in the first couple of series, left the game for an x-ray on his leg. Marshall has at least 6 turnovers...and they have fumbled a few times and got the ball back. Leftwich, (ala Willis Reed/New York Knicks) limped back on the field with 9 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.

We'll see. You can't win if you can't hang onto the ball. Poor display of holding onto the ball.

Akron is reasserting its claim as capital of West Virginia. 34-20, Leftwich just got picked and the Zips are driving.

But: Anyone who ever questioned Leftwich's toughness should be shot.

He was injured so badly they x-rayed his leg. Then, he came back out. It still hurts so badly that, on big plays, Marshall linemen are carrying Leftwich up the field so he can take another snap.

That's one tough sumbitch. 04-bow

Congrats to the Zips. 7 turnovers helped you out......but my hat is off to you. Good luck to you the rest of the year.

Miami...see you in Huntington Nov 12th. The HERD can still win the East.

GO HERD!!!!!!

It was Fugly for sure....cant have that many mistakes and turnovers and expect to win.

I hope Byron can play and that the Hoid beats J Crew U. I want the Falcons to have a shot at taking the Hoid to the woodshed down in Huntington.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about our little side trip to Dekalb.

Your punter is a skinny little guy, right?

Sorry, he's about 205 and has a TD run this year. You see, we like running the ball down people's throat so much that we even let the punter in on it. He also averages 24 yards a pass.... :D

I love the smell of overconfidence at 1:35pm CST....

Only 205? in fat punter lore, that is a tiny, tiny man. You better get him some deep fried peanut butter ho-hos to try and fatten him up before you run into the falcons... 03-wink

I have a feeling that we won't be needing a 240+ lb punter for the game next Saturday. 03-razz

If the defense doesn't play the run any tougher than it did today against Kent, we could be hoping for a shot at the Humanitarian Bowl.

I have a feeling that they will though....
