I would like to hear from fans of all the mac schools. Be honest and tell me how many schools in the mac have not had students and fans run onto the field? Look back at some of the big games and think did we go to the field or just go home? Some say it went to far with fans yelling go home losers and other things I wont mention on this thread. I set behind Miamis bench and when Miami went ahead most of the team turned around to smile and say we are number 1 and things not to be mentioned on this thread. It is a game and Coaches dont hit fans and they shouldnt tear up private property because they cant handle tough times. Do they want the players to act like them?

Our fans rushed the field for the Toledo game last year and the Western Michigan game this year.

That's not the point (well, my point, anyway).

If Marshall doesn't have a policy in place that bars fans from the field, it should. And they should have used that policy against this clown from Pickerington.

At some point, an athlete somewhere in North America is going to get attacked like Monica Seles was. Should we wait that long?

It wasn't a massive pouring onto the field, but a lot of fans streamed onto Waldo's field to celebrate the last-second win over CMU last year.

I guess I'm torn on this issue. I think it's a thing of beauty when fans pour onto the field to pat the back or high-five their players. It's nice to see. Even tearing down the goal posts.

But it's very unfortunate if some fans use this opportunity to taunt the losing opposing players (or worse) as they're walking off the field, and thus ruining it for those others who just wanted to personally congratulate their own school's players.

I love to see fans and students share in a big celebration like that, with everyone on the field patting each other on the backs. The best part about the postgame at NIU this weekend was watching the team go to the student's section to acknowledge their loud presence during the game.

But considering those people aren't technically allowed on the field, it seems to me that they lose a lot of rights - remember, at pro games someone on the field is quickly escorted off the field.

They showed that among the ESPN highlights last weekend. That was great. 04-bow

I'm very proud to say that Kent State has by far the best behaved fans in the MAC, and dare I say all of college football. We never have the dis-class to storm the field, and many of our best fans leave at half time, so as to ensure our opponettes can get out of the parking lot in a timely manner.

It was the best college sports atmosphere I've ever been in. Coach Novak even wrote a "letter to the editor" in the student newspaper thanking for the students for their great support and reminding them that we need them again in 2 weeks against UT.

Gee, I hope this is sarcasm. I can't think of too many opportunities for Kent fans to rush the field.

:D
