Looks like BG is has about the same "fanbase" as they did 2 years ago. 12,900 is awful as it is, but this number was padded. According to BG fans, there were fewer than 5,000 at the game. You can make all the excuses you want. The fact is, even though or attendance is down, you can count on at least 20,000 fans at EVERY UT game! I hope next year we get back to averaging 30,000 next year, especially with Pitt coming to town. I would like to see every MAC team have good attendance. I am just disappointed that BG is back to their old ways. 03-banghead

Perhaps the overcounts at some of the MAC games are the result of counting buns not butts. So the reported attendance is double what it actually is (assuming everyone has two buns!)

I just hope the falcon faithful make the trip up I75. If they bring as many to Toledo as we do to bowling green, we should have a huge crowd no matter what the weather. It should be a great game with tons of offense.

Come on Falcon fans, show us you belong in 1A. 03-wink

did you not have 18k for the CMU game?

With all the snow, cold temps and playing a lifeless EMU team...and we were drilling them 49-7 in the 3rd quarter. I was still very po'ed about the attendance.

We lost a ton of fans during Blackney's last few years and must keep winning to get them back. As you know, there isn't exactly a whole lot of people in the BG area...we don't have an entire city area of 300-400,000 to draw from like some schools. We are far from our "old ways" as you put it.

UCF @ Miami drew 7,900.
NIU/UT was played earlier in the day and had 20k...11k empty seats? For the West lead battle?

Hey, I'll be there saturday and so will a bunch of other BG fans...The flock will rock the Glass Bowl and see a Falcon victory.
