I've never been a socialist.
What does that mean?
Love,

Curious,
I am not MAKO but according to Marshall grads, a socialist is someone who works in the public sector in any capacity be it law enforcement, regulatory, military, or education to name a few. Government=Socalist.
I've never been a socialist.
Translation:
I've only worked a private sector job.

Well, since it would mean you're an unfeeling, unthinking SOB Dodo, one might assume it means you are either a Toledo graduate, a Republican, or both.
Of course, the real question is, how long did it take to have your heart and mind trained out of you or, are you one of the fortunate few such as me that were simply born that way?
P.S. Kit-Cat. You forget that conservatives like government employees as long as they have they ability to shoot you. The government employees they despise are those who serve no useful function in society such as teachers, research scientists, child protective services workers, etc.

You realize the risk you are running of being misinterpreted, don't you? :)
Does any athletic conference in the country graduate more teachers every year?

I think you missed the heavy dose of sarcasm with which that was intended. MAKO is one of the three Democratic members of the Marshall University Alumni Association.

One of these days, I'm going to invent a sarcasm font and get rich. OTOH, I rather enjoy running the risk of being misinterpreted - at least on the internet. I enjoy it even more when someone misses it entirely and the smartass in me gets to reply something like this:
sar-casm 1: a sharp and often satirical or ironic utterance designed to cut or give pain <tired of his contemptuous ~> 2a: a mode of satirical wit depending for its effect on bitter, caustic and often ironic language that is usually directed against an individual <~ is another mode of humor that requires a master hand - E.P.J. Corbett> 2b: the use or language of sarcasm <this is no time to indulge in ~>
Unfortunately, there appear to be one or two reasonably educated folks on this board and I normally can't get it past them. Oh well, the quest continues.

Democrats? Republicans? Bah...
Vote <a href='http://www.cato.org/' target='_blank'>Libertarian</a>! Free markets, free minds! :D
(Okay, I'm not a Libertarian, per se. But I do tend to fall into that "fiscal-conservative/social-liberal" zone. B) )
