Yes. I can't recall the score, but it was a shootout, and the first OT game in college bowl history.

Toledo won something like 40-37 when Wasean Tait scored a TD in overtime.

I have a copy of that game. It's quality has deteriorated over the years, but Tait was amazing to watch.

Who'd you like better, Tait or Taylor?
(I prefer Tait, based on limited viewing)

Befor his injury, Tait was the better tailback. As a junior he rushed for 1905 yards. This was the MAC record until Michael Turner of NIU broke it this season.

Tait was one of the pre-season players mentioned for the Heisman in 1996. He suffered a severe knee injury against Indiana in the season opener.

Not taking anything away from Chester Taylor, but Tait was THE MAN! He reminded me a lot of Barry Sanders.

One difference between Tait and Sanders, imo, was that Tait tended to get a positive yardage more often. He may not have broken as many huge runs as often, but there weren't as many 3 and outs while waiting for magic to happen.

I preferred Tait for excitement. Chester provided plenty of that, as well, but he was more of a workhorse.

Rocket,

I remember that game and thought the same thing. Tait had a lot of Barry Sanders like moves. He was definately the real deal. It is a shame that he got injured or we would be watching him on Sundays.
