Who's it gonna be?

Don't wanna sound like a homer, but I really think that the Cajuns have a big advantage in this contest because we play the better Eastern teams in the Cajun Dome this season. WKU, MT, and FIU all visit the Cajun Dome in January and the Cajuns are tough to beat in the Dome. WKU has a very good chance as well as they are always very very good. MT will have a shot as well, but the East is so balanced that I think that whoever wins the East may have 4 conference losses.

Very good points Cajun Man. N. Texas may also have a shot for similar reasons. And with the touney in Denton... N. Texas could be a contender this year.

I really see it going down to UL and WKU, depending on how we play with Greene returning hopefully soon he could help us play good basketball all the time. If we play a our game it will be a great game, if we have one of those off nights it won't be pretty.

It should be noted that this is for the mythical REGULAR SEASON title! No actual trophy is given, but the team with the best record is considered the regular season champ, which is what the Cajuns were last season.

When tourney time comes around, we'll bring this topic up again for conference tourney championship predictions.

If its half as good as the game was here last year then I am really envious that I won't get to see it live. Even though we lost, that game really sticks out in my mind as one of the most fun games of last year.

110-102!!! I doubt it will be that high scoring of a game this season. I listened to the game last year and both teams just shot the lights out. This year will be different though. Should be a fun one though.

Saw where Ark-LR got past Western last night. Were you guys "off" a little, or is A-LR a solid team?

I'm not sure. We're young so we'll be hot and cold, especially on the road. They just got burned by 35 by MTSU so they had something to prove against us. They beat a good Southern Illinios team so they're definately not bad. If we rebound and beat Arkansas St. Saturday then I'm not too worried about a 3 point road loss to a pretty good team. But if we drop two straight then I am much more concerned.

When we (LR) are on, we will be tough for anyone, but usually not by putting up huge offensive numbers. This is a very veteran team that usually plays tough defense and shoots well. :wave:
