ULM and LSU announced today they're gonna play each other on 8/30/03, the original date for the ULM/BGSU matchup. Rumor is ULM bought out of the BGSU game. Any truth to this?

I wonder if UCF(another ULM opponent) is one of those other four schools affected by this little scheduling ripple. I guess we'll all know in good time.

That doesn't sound right to me. This was supposed to be a home and home, with Bowling Green going down there in '04. I can't possibly imagine us making the trip down there without a home game.
I don't see why they didn't just move Bowling Green's home date with Louisiana-Monroe to 2005, where we have an opening.
Fans are calling for Bowling Green to set up a deal with Utah that would include a game at Perry Stadium this August to replace the Louisiana-Monroe game. This may be wishful thinking -- but, boy, it would be COOL. :D

I too doubt they bought out just that one game. They either moved the game to another date or season to preserve the series, or they bought out the whole contract like you said.
