For Bowling Green, I'd pick Rob Blake as our hockey player of note instead of Ken Morrow. But... even some BGSU folks might disagree with me there.
Frankly, there are a lot of players of note. Bowling Green has had two winners of the Hobie Baker Award -- college hockey's equivalent of the Heisman. George McPhee won it in 1981-82 and Brian Holzinger won it in 1994-95.
I think I'd pick Rob Blake as well for hockey. For football, Martin Bayless played for 13 or 14 years in the NFL and still holds the all time INT record at BG with 27 for a career.
I believe that it still may be the MAC record....anyone know?
Everything else looks good!

I don't think anyone else is remotely close to Bayless.
Janson Patton -- now in camp with the Steelers -- is third on the MAC career interception list.
He had 18.

Wish I could give you some famous sports celebs from UB...but I don't know of many?!? At least we have some guys in the NFL now. Jim Haslett got his start in coaching at UB and now coaches the Saints. Some other prominent NFL assistants came through UB but I guess the same can be said about most MAC schools. I can give you the names of several great Doctors, Lawyers and Dentists that came from UB!!
Here's some other prominent alums:
Ellen Shulman Baker—an astronaut/NASA mission specialist aboard the space shuttle Atlantis in 1989.
Harvey Weinstein—cochair of Miramax Films.
Wolf Blitzer—an award-winning journalist for CNN.
Wilson Greatbatch—the inventor of the implantable cardiac pacemaker.
Tom Toles—the Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist at the Washington Post.
Ron Silver—an actor who has had prominent roles on "Rhoda," "Hill Street Blues," and "The West Wing."
*** by the way, i loved Martin Bayless when he played for the Bills. One of my favorite players at the time.
