I appreciate CougarReggie for keeping our board active through July. He has a great team out there in Pullman and a class-act coach. Good luck to them.

I feel that the Big 10 is underrated this year. True, the conference had a down year last year and, despite the usual mismatches in the bowl games, didn't measure up as strong as I thought they would.

Sportswriters fail to mention that things are cyclical and conferences come back. The Big 10 has an extremely experienced conference and should prove it by the start of the Big 10 schedule. The Big 10 will put 8 teams in bowlgames this year.
Here is what I project as a conference standing with the Top 8 in bowl games.

MSU
UM
Pur/OSU
ILL
Iowa
PSU
Wisc
Minn
NW
IU

I know I'm a Purdue fan and IU came on at the end of last year. Additionally, I feel that DiNardo will turn their program around. The number and quality of players they lost is staggering but they have alot of good young talent and is probably a year away from fighting for a bowl birth.
