Given the late run, "breaking news" is kind of ironic, huh?

I feel good about tonght.
Don't care who the opponent is, this team is ready to play, finally.
You know we had a good number of those first 17 wins in which we did not play especially well and got by on good shooting, so-so defense and Gates' grit.
The last two games have shown the ability to kick it up a notch when it is needed. And it is needed any year in the MAC quarters. And semis. And final.

I'm cautiously optimistic as well.

Although OU matches up well against us, I'm hoping the fatigue factor that caught up with us in February bites the Bobcats tonight. It's the 4th game in 7 nights for OU. Plus, on Monday at Akron, 4 of their 5 starters played 38 minutes (Halbert 'only' played 31) and yesterday every single sticking Cat starter played at least 41 minutes. The bench played a combined total of 10 minutes.

Hunter didn't look to swift yesterday. He dogged it back on offense an number of times and he and Esterkamp stood around looking at each other a lot. Out of gas, maybe. Let's hope the Flashes bury them early and maybe they'll quit. Miami let them hang around and when they got around to playing, Miami was caught flatfooted.

GO FLASHES! A TEAM ON A MISSION.

BTW - Looks like an NIT lock with 20 wins. Let's hope a trip to the finals will earn them a trip to the NCAA one way or another!
