To get people fired up over here, let me here your thoughts on the Top 3 QBs in the MAC for next year. And, if you were to go as far as to rank EVERY MAC qb thats fine too! Now, ratings shall be placed on OVERALL talent.

Examples are: Speed, athleticism, scrambling, arm strength, accuracy, TD to INT ratio, yards passing, completion percentage, etc.

My Top 3 MAC quarterbacks overall are as follows (and I'm not being biased):

1.) Charlie Frye - Akron
-Runs a 4.6 forty, saw glimpses of the option last year. Dead on accuracy and completion percentage. Good arm strength, and from what I hear he will have even more passing yards this upcoming season.

2) "Big Ben" Roethlisberger - Miami, Oh.
- Outstanding passer, good team leader, good arm strength, lots of passing yards and pretty accurate. Mobility is a question mark.

3) Ryan Schneider - UCF
- This guy scares me. Tons of passing yards, but since I haven't seen him play in person, I don't really know much about him. I do know he has very good arm strength and a very high passing efficiency.

These are my personal choices, and if you think about it, either three could be flipped around in any order. The MAC is loaded with QB talent.

Agree, disagree??

LETS GET THINGS FIRED UP BABY! :D

04-cheers

Ranking the best MAC QBs for 2003 is like choosing between the Olsen Twins. There is so much young competition that selecting the best is almost impossible.

1.)
I honestly think that Charlie Frye has the most talent. Putting up the numbers he did with the cast he worked with was unreal. He is easily the best kept secret in the MAC. He is going to surpass last year's season, I think that his receivers have more experience and will do a great job backing him up in '03.

2.)
Roethlisberger is the most devastating to a defense because of his supporting cast. I see Michael Larkin (WR) to have a huge Junior year as Ben's main target.

3.) TIE
Joshua Cribbs (KSU) and Ryan Schneider (UCF).

Joshua Cribbs will have to try and carry his team again. He is a huge threat taking the snap. Cribbs can throw the ball or take off around the line for a TD with the best of them.

Schneider is up there with Frye as one of the best kept secrets in the MAC. He is going to have a huge year. From what I have read during the off-season is that he is even better than years past. In the Golden Knights last scrimmage of Spring, Ryan was 16-24 for 212 yards, 3 TDs, and no picks.
