I'm gonna go with 8-4 finish for right now....VERY early predictions though.
If the Zips stay healthy, and show up to play like against Marshall....8-4 with this schedule is very possible. Especially with our offense.

AO,
I like the Zips chances this year...I would say 8-4 or 7-5 overall and a 5-3 MAC slate is very possible. Is it true that every starter on the Akron offense returns this yr? The Zips' offense last yr was pretty potent and if UA can shape up their defense, look out! Owens must produce now...if not, he'll be gone. He has a very agreeable schedule with the toughest games at Wisconsin, at Miami and at Marshall. UCF at the Rubber Bowl on Oct 18th is THE key as I see it. Didn't Akron smoke UCF the last time the Knights played at the RB? Something like 34-17 or 34-21??? Help me out...I've had a few beers tonight!
Akron is my darkhorse in the East this yr. If the Zips can win on the road in the MAC, they can win the East.
Good luck to ya this yr. I loved playing the Zips every year but this move to the West did away with that.
GO BG!!

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, the last time UCF came into the Bowl, we beat them handily. I'm too lazy to look up the score.
I remember Dwight Smith (DB with Tampa Bay...took 2 INTs back for TDs in this years Super Bowl) had 3 interceptions and a blocked field goal...all in the same game against UCF. That was the last time UCF came to the Bowl.
Yes, all 11 starters from a potent Akron offense will be returning, plus monstor FB Dan Basch will be back from an injury-plagued season.
The defense will be better...they've GOTTA be....lol :(
