S James King & OL Derek McLaughlin. B)

CMU's other candidates for All-MAC honors, IMHO:

RB Terrence Jackson - 1,000 yard rusher in 2001 was limited by injury in 2002.
TE Tory Humphery - a fine freshman season but hurt last year.
DL Tony Thompson - played a lot as a freshman.
DL Matt Wohlgemuth - reserve last season led the team in sacks.

All-Freshman team:

LB Anthony Rogers - Lindys ranked him the #9 recruit in the MAC.

Brandon Payne was our RB as a freshmen (MAC Freshmen of the Year) but...he had an injury....some guys just don't seem to bounce back the way you want. Brandon got beat out by a hell of a runner in Bob Hendry.

I like Robbie Mixon for you guys...of course, Akron made him look like an All-American  03-puke

AO: you do know that Mixon graduated, right? Hey, what he did to you guys was <a href='http://cmuchippewas.ocsn.com/sports/m-footbl/recaps/110202aaa.html' target='_blank'>NOTHING</a> compared to what he unleashed against EMU! :D 04-bow 04-cheers

I just looked up the recap of the 2002 CMU/Akron tilt, and Mixon did fine, but Keenan Lawhorne did more damage:

<a href='http://cmuchippewas.ocsn.com/sports/m-footbl/recaps/091402aaa.html' target='_blank'>Guess who's returning for his senior season?</a>

All that, and on a gimpy ankle, yet! :D We also plan on having Terrance Jackson, a 1,000 yard rusher from 2001, back and healthy. :blueeek: In other words, fear not: the CMU ground attack will be back with a vengeance. :tank:
