I never said it did. I can assure you the Florida & Va Tech games did not dampen anyone's enthusiasm here either...what's your point?

We're just as excited about defending our title this year.
Marshall fans like to say that you've brought the MAC all this notoriety, when on a national scale you have largely not done anything more than some of our other conference brethren. Winning the MAC is the goal of all MAC teams, and your numbers are impressive, but there have been others here to do more to make the football world take notice of the MAC - your losses to Florida and Va Tech were not embarrassing, but those were your best shots at making these kinds of waves.

Nowhere in my post(s) did I say anything about Marshall bringing the MAC any notoriety. You cracked on the Marshall vs Va Tech and Fla games. I answered with Western Illinois.

Now, thanks to the HERD, you all have gotten better, some alot, some a little............but overall, the MAC realized that it was time to get serious and upgrade their programs. And thanks to the HERD, you guys know what ESPN means.
And yes, Toledo did beat MU 42-0, and yes Miami has beaten the HERD, BG and Akron have got a win over MU. And thanks to that win, your coaches are able to sell your program to future recruits.
Sure MU has a few bad apples but so does every team in America.
Bottom line, Marshall has done more good for the MAC than anyone in the MAC the last 6 years.
Now with the addition of UCF plus having MU...........the MAC is on the verge of getting yet another bowl bid. Yet you all still find a way to degrade the HERD like MU has totally brought the MAC down.
HF4L - I never called you out personally, but this is some of what Marshall fans repeat.....

But my point was that your OOC wins haven't been overly impressive, and especially not more impressive than some others by Miami, WMU, Toledo, yes even NIU (one, at least). That doesn't make it lousy, just not any better.
