Please tell me that your stands will be more than just between the 20's....

But it is nice to know that all the MAC schools are trying to improve their stadiums!

I'd like to say "no", but don't count on it. Look at it this way - whatever is there is better than the old structure this replaces. Trust me.

Check this pic out. There are concrete bases installed for another section. Whether they are going to add them or not is a question. I count 20-22 rows and guessed at 100-150 bodies per row in the structure as it stands. Based on that, this is less than the 3,000 plus seats that were to be installed. Maybe they started with the inner sections and will move out from there.

A few weeks ago when I was down at the Stadium you could see the extra concrete support
bases that was between the goal line and the end sides of the new section, but nothing was
being done in those areas. I also saw no extra structure material for those areas; so its hard
to say what actually will go there; more seating? maybe? ...... I hope they do because as nice
as the new stands will look, it also look sort-of "High-Schoolish" only having the stands spanning
between the 20 yard lines.

Did you see anything that could be used to build the boxes? It looks like there is a set up for two at the 50. I also hope that they are going to add sections. It will be a little generic if the seats are only between the 20s.

Went by the Stadium on my way to Ravenna Monday:
I did not see material for the boxes as yet; They will have to get it in gear if they hope to have the
section their working on ready for seating for the Youngstown State game (the weather isn't
helping things any). They are now installing a bright yellow main backing that the seating will
be attached to, look at the pictures this Friday (looks great). Still nothing going in the areas between
the end sections and the goal line, so who knows what will be there or if those areas will be
ready this season.

Thanks for the update FF88. Sounds cool, looking forward to Friday's pics. I am guessing, but the boxes may be prefab and lifted into place as one piece by crane so they may not take long to install. They have roughly a month to finish up. They'll be ready. GO FLASHES!
Update: Just went to the Kent site and there are new pics today, 8/5. The gold is sharp and annoying at the same time. Can't wait to see the final product. It's going to be pretty cool. It is clear that they are going to put something in the ends as there are support bolts now in place.
