We know that Western's basketball team is heading to Spain in August to play several games and get a jumpstart on the season. Are any of our Sun Belt counterparts doing something similar?

stick this up on a Sun Belt board. Maybe you'll get more looks and responses. Either the SunBeltBBS, or Tribalgrounds.

Personally. I don't know.

I noticed this and thought I would respond, although I don't know about other schools.

It really excites me to think of all the good things that seem to happen during seasons we have played overseas in the past. I have a really good feeling that this is the year that Coach Horn gets all the pieces in place to shock some people.

I was listening to ESPN and they were talking about the fact that Spain's league is the #2 league in the world behind the NBA. Will the Toppers be playing teams from that league?

I don't think so Truman. But if it makes you feel any better, I thought the same thing when I heard that on ESPN yesterday morning. I suspect we will be playing college or AAU type teams similar to what we played when Coach Felton was here last. Seems like none of the games were even competitive.

My first thought when I heard that this morning was, we are going to be good, but if those guys are at an NBA level we will get 04-nuke We can't hang with a NBA quality team, we could play with with the Clippers but not an NBA team.

The Sunbelt board says that MTSU is going to Canada this year.

Doubt we could play with the Clippers, either. I'd be willing to bet that if the national champs (UNC) played the team with the worst record in the NBA, they'd lose by at least 15.

I know I was simply making one of my less than funny jokes. Sad what some owners will do to cash in on ownership. Field a team but have no intention of really competing which is what athletics is supposed to be about. Same thing UK and Vandy do in the SEC we don't care if we ever win just give us the$$$ from the TV and Bowl games!
