At church Sunday a friend said that because the MAC is on hold that stadium improvements will be stalled as well. I know he works for WKU but not in any capacity to know about these things.

It was my understanding that the upgrades on the stadium were going to have to happen no matter what. Am I right or is he? 03-confused

Tru, you are right, BUT refurbing the current side will be the first phase.....regardless of MAC/SBC/MVC issues. Doing it this way does allow for Wood and Gary to hold back if they see that it is the best option for WKU, but Wood has indicated many times that he wants the complete staduim refurb regardless of MAC.

Galo, what are you hearing?

The funding for the stadium has already been approved. As hard as it is for the state to approve projects it seems, I doubt they would pass on the project.

I've not heard anything about the stadium renovations being tied to a conference change. I've not heard any conditions being placed on getting the stadium renovated. The stadium renovation is already being bidded out to architects right now. I did hear Selig say at a luncheon one time that we are not putting $35 million into the stadium to stay I-AA. And this was said BEFORE the MAC inquiry.
