I'm I alone in thinking that EKU stinks?

Not at all. I have hated EKU since I was a kid (at my first WKU game in the early 70's with my dad) and EKU beat the Toppers. Ever since then, I have had a disdain for the Kernals. I played (very briefly) in 86 but I didn't get on the field for the EKU game - DAMMIT! I wanted me some maroon blood on my uni! I do have one piece of EKU memorbilia in my house however. It is a mini EKU helmet right over the toilet - everytime I look at it I feel the need to evacuate my bowels.

When I was at WKU, the Eastern game was always THE game. Anyone remember Kavin McGrath's 2nd chance field goal that beat them on ABC TV? Anyone remember the three phantom seconds at the end of the OVC tourney in '79? I'm glad they are back on the schedule, and I say let's kick some Richmond boot-tay!

I was gonna come on here and apologize... and then you just try to push buttons. I think it is your goal to get more posts than Georgia_Tech guy.

But at least EKU plays us, in both basketball and football, so I don't mind talking about them.

apologize? why galo? I wasn't trying to push any buttons just making light of a situation I have no control over. Glad to see you still around. :)

For several years we didn't play them in Football or basketball, therefore, they weren't really on my radar screen..... So, I didn't have an active negative opinion about them... I do think it's important we play them. It's good for the state and developing HS athletic talent....

Having said that... I wanna kick their tales every time we play them...

Several years? I think we missed playing them in football only two years, 2001 and 2002. The series renewed in 2003 starting at WKU.
