65-7. A win, a band show, a dark chilly night at the Rubber Bowl.

The Zip Defense shut down a pathetic opponent and the offense could not punch it in on the worst defense in 1-AA on three ocassions inside the red zone. That is a bad scene that has cropped up in all four games this season. Good thing Buffalo is up this week so Akron can get to .500 against 1-A teams before losing in Oxford.

The Miami game is shaping up to be a huge ,atchup and one which will probably determine if the season goes to the 8-4/9-3/7-5 level or if Owens and his bunch deflate the faithful one last time. My bet is the latter. Losses to UCF, UConn and CMU come on the heels of epic defeats at Marshall and Miami.

This group finishes 5-7 AT BEST. Look out for Cal Poly because Akron U will blow a game every season that should be a sure win... this is the one for 2003.

Why the negativity? Akron lost to Kent State and that is a travesty. This coaching staff must go for the sake of football at Akron U.

I disagree wholeheartedly - I feel the game we blew was the KSU game. We should have won that game. I feel the Zips will head into Oxford 3-2, and give the Redhawks a run for their money.
