The big news of course is how a number of MAC teams have recorded victories over ranked and other well known teams.
But equally important I think is the number of good teams in the MAC this year. Instead of two or three very good teams, this year we have four or five. Witness the five teams who are receiving votes in the polls (Northern Illinois, Marshall, Toledo, Bowling Green, and Miami). And if you look at returning talent and recruiting, it looks like all these teams will be very good for at least the next couple of years.
Now, who's next. It would be great if the very good teams in the MAC could increase from 4 or 5 to 6, 7, or 8. I think this would really promote the MAC to the level of a top conference. Which MAC teams do you feel have a chance to join the present select group?
My two favorites based on returning talent and recruiting are UCF and Western Michigan. Are their others? Who do you feel might be next? What teams are improving but aren't quite there?

Ball State impresses me as a team that is gaining an edge. They seem to be moving quickly in the right direction. Especially considering where they were 3 or 4 years ago.

While were at it, give the MAC 2 BCS bowls.
