I don't know when the Liberty Bowl contract with the Mountain West ends, but when it does and if the MAC continues its good play, wouldn't the MAC and the Liberty Bowl be a good match? The problem here is that the Liberty Bowl might insist on having the MAC champion.

Of course, it might also come about if CUSA goes down the tube. I'm not sure what the connection is between Memphis (the University) and the Liberty Bowl.

The Liberty Bowl currently is hosted by CUSAs champ. To what ever league Memphis goes, the liberty bowl will follow.

Memphis plays its home games in the Liberty Bowl.

What I'm wondering is this--Is the Liberty Bowl contract with Memphis and whatever conference it is in or is it with CUSA?

If it depends on Memphis' affilliation, you might expect the bowl to move to the MAC by 2006.
