The article simply said there were feelers out. Probably some truth there, but not a great match. Charlotte's bball is interesting, but unless a team guaranteed an additional NCAA bid, I don't think the MAC would go for it.

I'm sure they would love to join the MAC and it would be great for basketball. But the MAC doesn't get much otherwise. I do think St. Louis is a great fit as a MAC university, though. But this isn't happening.

St. Louis doesn't play football. So I'm not sure the MAC would be interested. St. Louis would be a much better fit for the Missouri Valley Conference.
