I apologize if you've already seen these stories. I am still on cloud nine after the MAC's showing this past weekend and thought you may like these as much as I did.

The MAC's Big weekend begs the question:

I took some time out and read every one of those articles, and I've got a few comments. Walt Harris is a *******. While he may be frustrated with his players' performance in some areas, he's got no business raking them in the press. Fans do that enough...coaches should be insulating their players from that kind of public abuse, not piling it on.

The last article, about Pitt being outcoached, etc. was right on most points, but I found myself arguing with a couple. The writer contended that Toledo did the same thing in the 2nd half that they did in the first. Couldn't be further from the truth. In the first half, UT mixed run and pass well, including a few long balls that fell incomplete. It didn't work. At the half, UT adjusted, but not like Pitt expected. Pitt expected UT to jump on Trinity Dawson's back and ride the runner to the end of the game. Instead, Bruce Almighty (my personal favorite nickname) grabbed the bit in his teeth and took off running...er, throwing. Pitt's coach, and this writer, can blame his D for not playing well enough to stop Toledo, but they were out of position to do so because of what they were trying to stop...the run. Toledo had no intention of running the ball in the 2nd half. And Pitt got caught by surprise. What I wanna know is, HOW THE HELL DOES STUTZ KEEP SURPRISING ALL OF US????? 04-rock 04-rock

Fred... the only time i was ever surprised concerning 'Stutz' is when I heard they hired an ex Toledo player who graduated from Toledo... I thought... OMG!!! Toledo did a 180 after building the team for 10 years and tried to save some bucks by hiring a nobody... THEN... I read the stories about him and what he wanted to do and that he and his father.. talk and talk and live football... how HE was the one that was the defense genius and that he was gonig to change us to the spread offense... I was like sooooo amazed... and my mouth started watering and I knew before he coached his first game that he was Da Man... that is why pre season? I was more confident than anyone.. Stutz would do GREAT things this year...
