I wonder what happend to Danyell Macklin? I remember him being such a prized recruit, I believe we actuallu beat UL(BE) for him. I know he was a washout but did anyone ever hear what became of him?
I also find it interesting to find out what happened to other Hilltoppers.

Jack Jennings continues to star in the Deveroes Summer League in Cincinnati. The league is now in the playoffs. I believe that Jack's team, seeded #2 of 8, plays tomorrow night.
I have seen a couple of Jack's team's box scores this Summer. He's been the leading scorer both times.

I Googled Macklin and it appears he played a couple of seasons at Lindsey Wilson where he set a few rebounding records...... I think he enrolled/played at several different schools and had a few brushes with the law..... Hopefully, he got his life in order.
As a Freshmen at WKU, he was scary good and probably had as much or more talent than any player on the hill in several years before and after he arrived....

Didn't he transfer out to Fresno State right after he "left" WKU? If I recall correctly he was the roommate or teammate of the crazy dude that went after his girlfriend with a Samurai Sword. He had some brushes with the law (drugs I believe) and ended up over at Lindsey, as a last opportunity. I saw him play a couple of times against Brescia, but he was never the phenom that was recruited out of high school. I think by the time he made it to Lindsey Wilson his passion was gone. He looked like he just really didn't care while he was out there. He had far more talent than anyone else on the court, but never dominated a game. That's my take on it.
