On PTI Wilbon said NIU should get a shot at the Champ game AND said the MAC is better than the ACC. More props to the MAC. I love it, I love it.

This is great news, no doubt, but i find it kind of ironic that the person who initially posted this goes to a university whose fans completely detest and loathe their membership in the MAC

Not all UCF fans hate the MAC. There are a good number of them that want to stay in the MAC and not go to C-USA.

Kind of like there are some Marshall fans that hate the MAC and would rather be in C-USA and there are some that would rather stay in the MAC.

I'm a UCF fan, and guess what? I hope we stay in the MAC, I actually like it here!

I said geography wise I'd rather have CUSA. Plus I want UCF's all sports to finally get out of the A-Sun. We have a great baseball team, and I'm sick of them playing Stetson every year.

Hey brothers and sisters, let it be known that here's another UCF'er who's always been happy to be in the MAC.

Don't let a few loudmouths make the rest of look bad (like a few Marshall fans I could mention).

I got no problem being in the MAC, its quality. I'm just coming from a geographic standpoint. CUSA has so many teams so close, its kinda hard when your closest game is in Ohio. Not to mention the USF in conference rivalry would be an INTENSE one. 2 hours separate us....it would be good.

That is such a misguided statement. I find it hard to believe that people are still saying this. UCF respects the MAC and frankly we have nothing to gloat about right now. For me I know I respect the MAC. You shouldn't believe everything you read in the paper.

If C-USA comes calling I would glad to be part of their conference. As a past UCF board member it just makes sense monetarily. The only reason the changing conference talk is happening now is that the ACC decided to add teams. The dominoes are just falling.

I hope that our team comes around and can make a run at the title. It's all up to the ones who want to play. I hope Kruz can find those leaders.

Before last week.....I never had any problems on this board or with the MAC until I stated that I believed that UCF would fit better in CUSA, rather than the MAC. I gave respect to the teams in the MAC and have never talked smack toward it's schools (besides a casual Marshall fan..but all in good fun.)

I mentioned that UCF would fit better in CUSA...and ONLY for a rivalry (USF) , Geographic and overall "fit-in" stand point last week. It was said with NO intentions of disrespect for the MAC schools. I also never took defense for our team's play right now or talked of tearing up the MAC (both now and before the season).

At that point...I was dumped with hot oil by the MAC faithful and told to don't let the door hit my a$$ on the way out. Then the trash talk of our team's play came around when I haven't done anything but GIVE PRAISE to the MAC teams that have played awesome so far.

I've given Kudos to Miami, N. Illinois, Bowling Green, Toledo and even MARSHALL for their big wins over ranked and non-ranked BCS teams.....at least before the MAC turned on UCF and my logical comments regarding the CUSA as I mentioned above.

So basically...I retaliated in haste. And I've seen it since our inception in the MAC. Sure..our idiot coach boasted of winning the MAC and would go undefeated in our first season...but so what? He's not a coach that says the "right thing" all the time. But from what I've seen from most UCF fans (unless it was regarding Marshall fans)...most have been excited and backed the play of the MAC.

So if I feel unwanted or back-stabbed...why wouldn't I get defensive and welcome a new conference? And I'd start posting other reason why I'd want out, again.

From the beginning I've heard MAC fans saying that UCF didn't fit in the MAC and a conferece like CUSA makes more sense. So why all the hatred to UCF fans that agree?

When we first heard of UCF going in the MAC...I was excited to finally have a conference to play in. Nobody I knew was happy about it because most UCF fans I know knew nothing about the MAC. But we all knew that it wasn't a permanent fix for UCF. I defended the MAC and belived that it was great for the time being. But overall...we did and still do feel like a fish outta water. Like a new kid from a big city that just moved to a small town. It'll do for now...but once he gotta chance to go home....he would.

I still feel that UCF is a fish outta water in the MAC.

We're having a tough start this season...and the MAC fans say, "Hey..you can't even beat Kent St!" Down here the fans of our "other" schools say, "Hey you can't even beat a MAC school!"

As sad as that is...down in Florida...that is the perception of the MAC.

That's actually 2 days in a row that PTI has given props to the Huskies.

They've said both times, flat out that if NIU is one of two unbeaten teams at the end of the year, we should get a shot. And if we don't, the "championship" should be burned to the ground (their terminology, not mine).

Of course, that assumes a lot. NIU could finish 10-2 and finish THIRD in the west with an unreal resume for the year. People outside the MAC are starting to forget that UT and BG play good football (and I'll throw in WMU too).
