Anyone know if the 2004 Syracuse game promotion is still on? I have not read anything about it in recent press releases or articles. They are supposed to be giving anyone at this game first crack to buy tickets to the Syracuse/UB game next season.

Oh yea. Hope they can play NIU tough. I'm looking forward to the game.

I've been wondering the same thing. I haven't seen anything about it recently. I still can't figure out the logistics of a distribution. Is this cash only? Will people buying season tickets for next year get hosed on seat selection because the good seats for the SU game were already sold? I'm surprised they would have a good promotion like this, but not publicize it.

I'm hoping for a competitve game tomorrow. It's going to be COLD- gametime temps in the 30's, chance of snow. It was 60 a couple days ago. A blowout in bad weather- it has the potential to be one empty stadium by the end of the game. I'm still looking forward to seeing Michael "The Burner" Tuner in person.

I saw that St. Louis and Charlotte just joined the A-10, bringing that league up to 14 teams. Much as I don't like to think about it, if UB ever lost 1A affiliation due to attendence, the A-10 would have been a great league to join. A very competetive 1-AA football league, and a potential home and away every year in basketball with St. Bonaventure.

Maybe it's going to be another paltry crowd so they canned the advertising? I imagine they are still doing the promotion since it was advertised at the beginning of the season. Since tickets aren't physically printed yet they will probably hand out a voucher and give people an advanced date to pick up tickets in 2004. Maybe you will just show up with the voucher when the time comes...like a week before they go on sale to the public.

I too wouldn't mind the A-10 if UB doesn't make it in 1-A football. Seems like the UB fans used to show up for teams like Villanova, Hofstra or Umass. I guess that was because they were competitive and exciting for a couple years at the 1-AA level. We'll see today and at Kent how much UB has improved lately? I'm still hopefull they can win at this level but it is discouraging to see a new 1-A team like Uconn going for their 8th win today and probably a bowl bid while UB is in the pits.
