What Zips have a chance at the draft this year?

I'd say Matt Cherry because of his good speed for his size and he'd be good for special teams

Brake may have a shot because of his good numbers

Definite NFL prospects:

WR Matt Cherry

Probable NFL prospects:

WR Nick Sparks (combination of size and speed)
TE Mike Brake

On the bubble:

WR Miquel Irvin

Note: No defensive players. :chair:

Couldn't agree more ElusiveQB

Irving??? great hand but way too slow, not even a free agent contract for him

McKenzie may get a shot becuase of his picks and defensive TDs this year, and he has decent speed

If the D had some talent besides Blackburn and Hixon, maybe they would have some draftible prospects

The D does need to preform better these last 2 games

Zips D....

While I agree Irvin isn't the fastest WR, his hands are an asset that make him a great possession receiver, and what I noticed was he is so good in the open field. I can't count how many times he's gotten big yards after a catch. His ability to make plays is why I think he could have a shot at the NFL - plus, the NFL can always add speed if that's what they want.

Chase Blackburn you would have to think is a definite prospect by the time he's a senior. I also love the way Vital plays - he's one of my favorites on the defensive side of the ball. McKenzie on the other hand, his stats are okay, but I saw what he was capable of in the Wisconson game, and the UConn game especially when he could have made plays to put the game away and didn't. I'm not trying to single him out, but he was in position to make big plays and it didn't happen - I guess I was expecting more from him.
