sounds good!

I never thought they'd get him alive.

I'd say most Iraqi's have to be pretty happy about it too.

Wonder what they'll do with him?

I would hope that everyone, regardless of political afiliation, would be happy that this monster is going to be brought to justice.

Yes, when looking to build consensus I find it useful to start with the larger, easier to digest ideas first. 03-wink

Everybody is happy except for the wacko liberals and the hate america first crowd[ goffball are you listening]

Now we are going to find out how much France was involved with Saddam, where the weapons are, how he was tied to Osama, and many other tidbits.

What a great day for Americans that is of course except for goofball and the rest of the hate America first crowd. 04-rock

I consider myself a liberal and am glad we got him.......maybe we got some sort of return on all the darn money we've been throwing at this Iraq deal.

Money that could've been used to help Americans who need help. Now we just have more debt for our grandkids to pay.

It is a good thing we finally found him though. We need to get Osama as well.

I agree with HerdKixButt. It's a great day, yet the moments leading up to the capture have been frustrating.

France involved with Iraq.. Hah, that cracks me up. Bush has done a good job of brainwashing.

Or, we may find out:

1. That France's connection with Iraq was simply one oriented in the free market, with private businesses simply trying to make a buck in Iraq -- much like American companies once did.

2. That, after years of sanctions, Saddam didn't have anything that could properly be called a "weapon of mass destruction."

3. That Saddam had no ties of any substance to Osama bin Laden.

In fact, that's my hunch. But we'll see.

A shame, really, that we've invested all this time, money and lives into catching a thug who never attacked the United States when the guy responsible for the most deadly attack on our shores since Pearl Harbor is probably wearing comfortable slippers and sipping tea right now.

But, hey. Not everyone shares my priorities.

It's nice we got him. He was a bad man. I still don't think it was worth the price in money, lives and burned bridges with the international community -- especially when we are making a real mess out of a real priority: Afghanistan and the search for Osama bin Missin'.

Herdon, the only ones who hate America are the ones who have such a problem with all of the things that this country is supposed to stand for and are working so hard to remake it into their ideal. One clue...it rhymes with "neoconservative". Then again, with as much sense as your idiotic post made, that clue probably isn't enough for you.

Just my 2 cents...

While I also didn't entirely agree with the US bombing of Serbia - another country and dicatator with no real threat to the US - in the late 1990s, it was a good day when Milosevic was snagged and brought to the courts of The Hague. Pretty much the same applies here. Unless evidence and court documents are shown over the near future that will sway my mind, I questioned the war and definitely questioned the way it was handled from the beginning (as well as the shaky pretenses), but any hour featuring the capture of a Stalin-like dictator is a fine hour.

Saddam was a nice "find", but I'll be even more excited if/when we find OBL. After all, the latter actually directed a physical attack against this country, and his network of thugs should be our #1 concern. Although I do believe OBL is closer to habitating claustrophobic holes and cave tunnels (a la Saddam) than wearing fuzzy slippers and drinking tea.

Xavier, Your kidding right,
Why do you think that France, that super power that we have saved before was so against this war. They were partners with Saddam. We just found un-opened boxes of missiles from france with a shipping date of 2002. They were doing business with Iraq when it was prohibited by UN resolutions. They deserve all they get.

Goffball, I guess you are not only anti US but also anti Jews. Using the word Neo-con is code for I hate jews. You really make me sick. 03-puke

There is nothing to refute, pookie. You either made that excrement up, or it came from a source way too stupid to even consider.

If you believe Saddam never had a hand in ANY attack on the U.S., then you are either very ignorant and or just very uninformed. This guy was paying families of people who would do suicide attacks on people. PAYINGTHEM. Saddam is a thug who needed to be taken down. Also, if you honestly think he never had WMD, then you are easily fooled as well. The guy destroyed his own people, unleashed chemical bombs on his own towns, and tortured his people to no end. Perhaps he never fired a nuke from Iraq, but he funded enough terrorists to do about the same damage.

Thank you George W. Bush for bringing this THUG down, and continuing this war on terror to keep OUR nation free. It's just a shame that liberals bash this operation just out of political vendeta.
